Residencies offer a crucial space to research and incubate projects, strengthen creative communities, and instigate artistic work. In this forum we ask several key questions: How can we, as an arts community, support artists and institutions in the Middle East to continue creating critical and rigorous work in and amidst the radical transformations occurring throughout the region? In what ways can support mirror the dialogue occurring in the region and subsequently keep the outside world aware of those changes?
Culture, Capital & Residencies in the Middle East is made possible with the generous support of the Maryam & Edward Eisler Foundation and is produced by ArteEast in collaboration with The Delfina Foundation and Gasworks, and in association with the Art & Patronage Summit: The Middle East.
